Border Outreach Programme under State Own Priority Development (SOPD)
The Goverment in Border Protection & Development Department have been organizing Border Outreach Programmes with the counterparts of the neighbouring states for promoting peaceful co-existence among the people across the Inter-state Boundaries.
- Border Outreach Programmes have already been organized in Sivasagar, Jorhat, Dhemaji, Lakhimpur, Goalpara, Cachar, Karimganj, Karbi Anglong, West Karbi Anglong, Dima Hasao Districts.
- Border Outreach Programme was organized at Kaziranga(Kohora) on 17 October 2016. Hon’ble CMs of Assam & Nagaland participated in the Programme.
- Cultural Affairs Department sent a composite Cultural Troup to Hornbill Festival at Kisama near Kohima, Nagaland on 3 December 2016 to showcase the rich cultural heritage of our State.
