Inter-State Border Development Activities under State Own Priority Development (SOPD)
- The Border Development Activities in the Inter-state Border under SOPD is 100% funded by the State Government
- The Programme aims to fulfil the felt needs of the people living in the remotest areas bordering the neighbouring states of Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Manipur, West Bengal and Tripura.
- Infrastructure Development Programmes like road connectivity, provision of water supply, education , Community Hall etc. are undertaken under this programme for development of the Inter-state Border Areas .
- The programmes covers 24 districts viz. Tinsukia, Dibrugarh, Sivasagar, Jorhat, Golaghat, Charaideo , Dhemaji, Lakhimpur, Biswanath, Sonitpur, Udalguri, Karbi Anglong, West Karbi Anglong, Dima Hasao, Cachar, Karimganj, Hailakandi, Morigaon, Kamrup(M), Kamrup, Dhubri, South Salmara Mankachar, Goalpara & Kokrajhar
